Day 01
On arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will
be met and greeted by the Representative of Sri Lankan Holidays Hyderabad and ushered through the Immigration
and Customs Clearance process.
The first breathtaking bird's eye glimpses of the Island’s
greenery, its lakes and coast will be visible as the
Helicopter
leaves Colombo International Airport to Kandalama Hotel,
Dambulla (one hour flying time).
On arrival at the Kandalama Hotel helipad a traditional
Sri Lankan style welcome will be provided, and you will
be ushered
to your suite.

In the evening, leave Kandalama Hotel by Helicopter
to Sigiriya for a 20-minute Helicopter ride. Our guides
will meet you
at the foot of the rock and brief and guide you to the
top of the rock. The excursion to the rock will be around
two and a
half hours. The return journey from the rock fortress
will be by road in air-conditioned transportation, for
you to view the countryside. Duration around 45 minutes
drive.
Sigiriya: A city, palace and a garden complex centering
a 200-meter high rock, Sigiriya, is a glowing tribute
to the vision
of King Kashyapa who created this 'Palace in the Sky'
in the 5th century AD. On the summit of the Sigiriya
rock (meaning
the 'Lion Rock') that is over 1.5 hectares in extent,
are the remains of a large palace, the earliest surviving
royal palace in
Sri Lanka, with several chambers and a bathing pond.
In a sheltered pocket of the giant rock are the celebrated
paintings
of 5th century AD, a few which are remaining from around
500 paintings that once covered the rock surface. Meticulously
planned water gardens at the foot of the rock are the
earliest such gardens found in Asia. The boulder gardens
are a fine example of landscaping while conserving the
environment. The Mirror Wall, which had been exposed
to elements for over fifteen centuries still carry some
of the original sheen that has given it the name. The
United Nations has declared this archaeological site,
unparalleled in South Asia, a World Heritage Site.

Day 02
Wake up in nature’s paradise...
Breakfast with a feast of tropical fruits and local
delicacies. After breakfast, you will do an elephant
back safari for 45 minutes.
At 10.00 am you will leave Kandalama Hotel to Polonnaruwa
by helicopter for a 30 minute ride. On arrival in Polonnaruwa
our ground staff will guide you through the ruins of
the ancient city.
The glory of mediaeval Sri Lanka is seen at Polonnaruwa,
the mediaeval capital of the Island about 216 km south
east
of Anuradhapura. Polonnaruwa used by the Sri Lankan
kings as a 'country residence' from the 7th century
became the
Island's capital in the 11th century AD. Within the
ramparts of the Royal Citadel are the ruins of the King's
palace, the
Council Chamber and the Royal Bath. The Buddha images
at the Gal Vihara or the Rock Temple are masterpieces
of stone sculpture. Parakrama Samudra or the Sea of
Parakrama is a giant man-made irrigation reservoir.
A visit to Polonnaruwa is incomplete without visiting
the new archaeological museum opened by the Central
Cultural Fund where the ancient glory of the city has
been recreated in scale models.
The ground excursion will be two and a half hours after
which you will be flown back to the Kandalama hotel
in time for lunch.
In the evening board your Helicopter to Minneriya your
flying time will be 30 minutes, On arrival in Minneriya
our ground
staff will guide you in 4X4 vehicles on a elephant safari.
Sri Lanka’s famous marsh elephants roam the area if
you are
lucky you could view around 200 to 300 elephants in
the Minneriya tank. Your Safari will be around two and
a half hours.
From Minneriya you will be driven back to Kandalama
Hotel, you may come across other animals on your way
back. Your
return journey will be a two hour drive.

Day 03
After breakfast leave Kandalama by Helicopter to the
city of Kandy, the flying time will be half an hour.
The view is
panoramic, as you will be flying over the mountains
and ravines. On arrival in Kandy you will be transferred
to Earl’s
Regency Hotel. "The crowning jewel of the Kandyan
Kingdom.” The grandeur of an ancient Citadel adorned
with
contemporary five-star luxury. A landmark of impeccable
taste and unique style where one can unwind and relax.
After
lunch, you could relax and in the evening do a city
tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri
Lankan kings, and
is a World Heritage Site. The
name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence.
Many of the legends, traditions
and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around
the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala King Sri Wickrama
Rajasinghe
in 1798. Visit
the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts center,
a gem museum and a lapidary. In the evening, visit
the Temple of the Tooth Relic and thereafter witness
a cultural show featuring traditional Sri Lankan dancers.
Dinner and overnight stay at Earl’s Regency Hotel.
Kandy: The Hill Capital of Kandy was the last bastion
of the Sinhala kings and is a charming city offering
a living record of a magnificent past. Center of attraction
in Kandy is the Dalada Maligawa, the temple housing
the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. Kandy Lake enhances
the charm of the City. Kandy is a romantic city any
time of the year, but in August, this
ancient capital becomes the venue of one of the most
legendary festivals in Asia, the Festival of the August
Moon when thousands of people from all parts of the
country and from foreign countries throng to the Hill
Capital to witness the magnificent spectacle. The King's
palace, audience hall, King's bath, the archaeological
museum must not be missed by
any visitor to Kandy.
Day 04
After breakfast proceed to Pinnawala by road in air-conditioned
vehicles to visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala.
This orphanage is the home for about 60 elephants, out
of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or
orphaned
in the wild. They are being cared, fed and trained by
the wild life authorities. The best time to visit is
during the feeding
times, when one will have the opportunity of seeing
the baby elephants being bottle-fed. Also could accompany
the
elephants to a river close-by and see them having their
daily bath. Your excursion time will be two and a half
hours
traveling time and another three hours at the orphanage
- you will be able to feed the elephants!
After a picnic lunch you will be flown to Triton Hotel
Ahungalle, Our ground staff will meet you on arrival
and usher you to
your suite where you could kick back and relax for the
next few days. The setting is idyllic - a long stretch
of unspoiled
palm-fringed golden sandy beach and an azure sea. Within
the extensive premises of the hotel, quiet five-star
luxury complements this picture of tranquility and seclusion.
